Meeting of the bureau in Béziers
From April 26th to 29th the Bureau of the FIPC met in Béziers at the home of our president Jean Henric. After the feedback with the surveys coming from the national federations we dicussed how to go on helping the federations in their work.
Then we started the preparation of our meeting in Florence in August.
Because the duties of the committee for spirituality were discussed, the designed almoner of the FIPC, Ks. Wiesiek Hudek (who is almoner of the Polish federation of Pueri Cantores too) joined us on Friday and Saturday.
Réunion du bureau à Béziers
Du 26 au 29 avril le bureau de la FIPC s'est réuni à Béziers chez notre président Jean Henric. Après les réponses dans les questionnaires retournés par les fédérations nationales nous avons discuté comment continuer pour aider les fédérations nationales le mieux dans leur travail.
Puis, nous avons commencé les premIères préparations pour notre réunion des présidents à Florence en Août.
Nous avons discuté aussi les tâches de la nouvelle commission pour la spiritualité de notre fédération. Pour cela, le nouvel aumônier désigné, Ks. Wiesiek Hudek (assistant ecclésiastique de la fédération Polonaise) nous a joints vendredi et samedi.

Désir de paix
Le choeur de l'Assomption de Butembo (Rep. Dém. Congo) a publié un disque. Son vernissage officiel a été effectif le dimanche 17 Juin 2018 dans l’Hôtel Butembo après une messe d’action de grâce à la paroisse universitaire de l’UCG.
Le maire de Butembo et le chancelier de l’évêque de Butembo-Beni ont présidé les cérémonies d’inauguration. Les chantres, les chrétiens de toutes les confessions religieuses et d’autres invités y étaient légion pour honorer le produit audio visuel. Il contient 10 titres, dont Désir de Paix, Toi mon soutien, Acheni watoto et Amani. Ces chants qui effacent la balafre des Congolais victimes des affres de l’insécurité ont été interprétés au cours de l’activité.
Desire of peace
The choir of Assumption of Butembo (Dem. Rep. of Congo) published a DVD. Its official presentation took place on Sunday, 17th June 2018 in the Hotel Butembo after a Mass of thanksgiving to the Parish of the University of UCG.
The Mayor of Butembo and the chancellor of the bishop of Butembo-Beni presided over the ceremonies of inauguration. The singers, the christians of all religious confessions and many other invited people honoured the new audiovisual disk. It contains 10 titles, so f.i. Désir de paix, Toi mon soutien, Acheni watoto et Amani. These songs, wiping away the scars of the Congolese who are victims of the agony of insecurity had been sung during the mass.

Pueri Cantores Chöre singen für den Frieden in der Welt
Projekt zum Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges vor 100 Jahren
Vor 100 Jahren, im November 1918, endete der 1. Weltkrieg. Rund um den November 2018 gedenken daher Chöre auf der ganzen Welt musikalisch dieses Datums. Die Internationale Föderation der Chormusik (IFCM) ruft auf, in den Wochen um den November 2018 in Konzerten und anderen Formaten mit entsprechenden Werken, die kulturverbindende Kraft der Chormusik aufzuzeigen.
Mit unserer Vision „Morgen werden alle Kinder der Welt den Frieden Gottes singen“ und der langen Tradition der Friedensgebete schließt sich der Internationale Pueri Cantores Verband gerne dieser Aktion an. In einigen Föderationen (Frankreich, Deutschland) sind bereits entsprechende Konzerte geplant. The choirs of Pueri Cantores sing for Peace all over the world
A project in memory of the end of the first world war 100 years ago
100 years ago, in November 1918, the first world war ended. Therefore choirs singing in every corner of the world will remember that date. The international federation of Choral Music (IFCM) has started a project to join forces to show the cultural strength of music in concerts and other opportunities in these weeks in November 2018.
The Federation of Pueri Cantores with their vision ‘Tomorrow, all the children of the world will sing the Peace of our Lord’ and the long tradition of prayers for peace will join this initiative with pleasure. In some federations (France, Germany, and others) already some concerts are planned.
Here is a proposal of 3 forms of short prayers for peace at different opportunities (in German), and here a proposal for a Prayer for Peace by our ecclesiastic assistant.

Un Projet fédérateur porté par des français
Le projet Artisans de Paix
A l’image des Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois qui avaient été déclarés « Petits messagers de la Paix » par le Pape Jean XXIII, les Pueri Cantores veulent être des ambassadeurs de la paix dans le monde. C’est une de leurs missions principales : chanter l’amour, la fraternité, la tolérance comme l’a voulu le fondateur Mgr Maillet. Les célébrations pour la Paix organisées notamment lors des congrès nationaux ou internationaux sont là pour interpeler les jeunes, les inciter à réfléchir à la souffrance du monde, à prier pour tous ceux qui sont victimes du terrorisme et à chanter pour une société plus juste.
En cette année 2018 qui commémore la fin de la Première Guerre mondiale (1914-1918), la Fédération française met en place un cycle de concerts qui marqueront cet anniversaire. Leur point commun : des œuvres qui chantent la paix et la fraternité.

Barcelona News
Our president Jean Henric, together with the honorary president Robert Tyrała and a delegation of the organizing committee, met on February 22, 2018, the Cardinal of Barcelona, His Eminence, Mgr. Juan José Omella Omella, and informed him about the congress. The meeting was a great succes and the Cardinal is happy to welcome the Pueri Cantores of the whole world.

The European Choral Association 'Europa Cantat' works since 63 years as another big international choir-federation. Every three years they organize a choir-meeting, every time in a different country of Europe - 2018 in Tallinn. Any information about the activities of "Europa Cantat" you can find in the newsletter or the official website.
